Sign Our Waivers

The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department offers an online waiver system that allows guests to move quickly through the equipment rental lines at Riva Row Boat House and Lakes Edge Boat House. Each guest to either boathouse is required to acknowledge liability and fill out a waiver before getting out on the water for a day of fun. Plan on bringing your pet? Then be sure to sign our pet waiver too!

The online liability waiver can be filled out online by clicking on the images below before visiting Riva Row Boat House and Lakes Edge Boat House, or on a tablet at either boathouse. Once completed, the liability waiver remains active for the current year.

About Riva Row Boat House

Riva Row Boat House opened as the first public boat rental location in The Woodlands, TX, in 2009 as part of the rapidly-developing Woodlands Waterway in The Woodlands Town Center. It is centrally located within walking distance from Town Green Park, Market Street, and The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. This boat house sits on the lower waterway, and it takes about 20-25 leisurely minutes to reach Lake Woodlands by watercraft. Eight (8) family-friendly rental options include single and tandem kayaks, single and tandem pedal kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, elliptical stand-up paddle boards, water bikes, and swan boats.

A second boat house, Lakes Edge Boat House, opened in 2016 in the new Hughes Landing development. This compact, kiosk-style boat house is located just south of Restaurant Row between One Lakes Edge and Two Lakes Edge apartment buildings and docks directly on Lake Woodlands for easy access to Northshore Park and the rest that the beautiful lake has to offer. Rental options currently include single kayaks, tandem kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards. Beginning in spring 2021 offerings at LEBH will include water bikes as well!

Riva Row Boat House and Lakes Edge Boat House are owned and operated by The Woodlands Township, a political subdivision of the State of Texas.

Riva Row Boat House
Love this place!

Love this place, the lake is beautiful and the price is too. It's currently 20 per kayak for the first hour and less for the next couple. When you get the double kayak it makes for a great date on a great budget. I recommend the afternoon because the wind settles down on the lake for a serene experience.

Riva Row Boat House
Great experience!

The service was great and the kayaking route has a lot of amazing views of the architecture, fountains, and sculptures of the Woodlands. It's a great way to spend a weekend actively, and if you're with a partner, they have two-person boats too!

Riva Row Boat House
A great option

A great option to do something outdoors. Husband and I rented the tandem pedal kayak. We had also done the Swan pedal board before. That was fun too. I was afraid we needed some level of experience with the kayaks, but it really wasn't that hard. Next time we will try the kayaks without the pedals.
